And at the end, you have to give multiple reasons, why you think a specific person is the killer.

As the detective, I had to go through tons of physical evidence, read through interrogation transcripts of five suspects, and solve 4 objectives that slowly guided me toward eventually solving the case.

The writing was tight and the story holds together well without any plot holes. Multiple suspects had plausible motives, and there was a twist that I didn’t see coming. After each objective, I kept finding tiny clues that made a different suspect look more guilty, so I was never completely certain until the very end. As a true crime fan and an avid player of murder mystery case files, I think this game was exceptional.

It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a case so much, and have already bought the rest of the games in the franchise to try them out too. The difficulty is spot on. Some people will find it too hard, others too easy, but it all depends on your deductive skills. It is most definitely a medium-difficulty case.

There are 4 objectives to complete. When you start the first objective, you only have access to some of the evidence, as you complete each objective, you unlock more story and more evidence. For example, if you link a suspect to the crime in objective 1, then you’ll read their interrogation report and get access to items from their work desk in objective 2. You examine evidence, cross-reference it with what suspects said in their interrogations, and build a picture of what you think really happened. If you get completely stuck, there’s an online portal with optional clues that nudge you in the right direction, but don’t outright tell you what to do.

No Acting Required
